After recording the material that would form Go Tell The Congregation Jim set to work on new material. Forming The Doubters, he entered the studio and recorded two tracks with then Anavris frontman, Chris Alexander, at the helm. Jim had planned to use Bone Blue Moon and Jim Landstrom Must Die as the foundation for the first Jim Dead & The Doubters album.

These demos were released on the The Doubters EP (a limited run CDr given away on December 27th 2009 when the band played Glasgow's Renfrew Ferry). Another track recorded was The Hallelujah Revolver. This was never distributed.

Different versions of the tracks were recorded at 16 Ohm Studio in November 2010 with a new version of The Doubters and appeared on Ten Fires.
